Write Up a Bio for Yourself
Take a few minutes to connect to your heart and to God. This is just an outline for you to be able to get connected to who you are.
- Who are you when you are at your best and most alive?
- What experiences have helped shape who you are?
- What are some of your biggest strengths?
- What are some things you really value?
- What is your favorite part of your personality? (If you can’t connect to this, ask God.)
- What is your favorite thing about yourself? (If you can’t connect to this, ask God.)
- What is 1 thing you are really proud of yourself for accomplishing?
- How would you describe your relationship with God?
- What do you like to do for fun?
- What is 1 random thing about you (can be funny, serious, cool, etc.)?
- Describe the type of dating relationship you want to have?
- What are 5 things that you bring to a relationship?
- What are your 2 favorite photos of yourself? Where you felt the most connected, alive, and yourself? If you don’t have any, where could you take some? Have a mini photoshoot.
Take a deep breath and really connect to the beauty, uniqueness, and power that you wrote down in each of these statements. Let the truth of your words hit your heart. YOU ARE ALL OF THOSE THINGS. Then take that inspiration and write out what you would want to include in a bio for a website, author bio, or a dating profile.
(If the voice of shame or self-doubt comes in, just acknowledge it and say “you have no place here” and speak the truth over your heart again.)
